Case study strategy that drove 600+ leads & increased Email open rate by 2.5%

Case study preparation became an integral part of our overall inbound strategy for Customer's Canvas. The challenge was inviting clients to share their stories, and I found a solution by using our support services as the first point of contact.

Goal

Produce high-quality case studies monthly to drive brand awareness.

Process

  • Set up a flow in Microsoft Power Automate to collect customer feedback.
  • A/B tested two message formats (Microsoft form vs. open-ended questions).
  • Sent the winning message to 5-star rating customers, inviting them to participate in a case study.
  • Created, approved, published, and integrated case studies into the overall inbound strategy for social media and email campaigns.

Top results

The goal was successfully achieved. Since February 2022, I’ve consistently created and published new case studies each month, which have become key assets in sales pitches and influenced decision-makers.

  • 8 case studies prepared
  • 15 responses via Microsoft Forms and 10 open-ended question responses from customers
  • 600+ new leads generated
  • 500+ page views per case study
  • Case studies reused in lead nurturing emails, increasing the email open rate by 2.5%
  • Customers who participated in case studies also left reviews on Capterra
